In 2017 Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee released Despacito and it topped the charts for most streamed songs in just 6 months. It was a combination of pop and reggaeton that not only drew attention to Latin Music, but as well reggaeton. In 2015 there were only two mostly Spanish-language songs on Billboard's Top 100 and in 2016 there were four. Despacito's popularity Despacito peaked in 2017. In 2020 there will be 41 primarily Spanish songs are expected to make it into the top 100. After Justin Bieber's remix in two languages to Despacito (2017) well-known artists began to collaborate with reggaeton musicians, such as Drake with Bad Bunny on MIA (2018) and Madonna together with Maluma for Medellin (2019). From the beginning of the year 2020, some musicians from reggaeton protested that it was moving towards more mainstream. Rauw Alajandro is a part of a new generation of musicians who are determined to shift the trajectory of. He often incorporated elements from electronic dance music as well as other genres.
