Dina Meyer was born in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island, just before her last year in junior high school. Two of her brothers are Gregory the elder brother of her, and Evan. She started her career in the field of entertainment at nine years old and did modeling. Ron Stetson trained her in the acting techniques of Sanford Meisner at The Neighborhood Playhouse. The process took approximately three years. Other actors to receive such training are Sandra Bullock, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton, as well as others. She got her first part in the soap-opera Beverly Hills, 90210, in which she had to relocate away from Los Angeles. She was cast as the main character in Johnny Mnemonic in which she performed almost all her stunts her self, establishing herself as a skilled actress. With the help of her agent, who represents Matt LeBlanc she scored a role as a guest star on Friends.
